Studio McBurney is Northern Ireland’s premier boutique portrait studio located in the heart of the County Antrim countryside. Established by award winning photographers Dylan and Caroline McBurney we specialise in beautifully natural, timeless portraits of family and children of all ages.
Our studio is inviting and cosy, with the comfort of a home and the style and prestige of a large studio making it easy for both small children and adults alike to relax. Using our skills we create beautiful wall art for your home, using the very best suppliers to frame all of our portraits to the highest standard.

PhotographerWith a passion for customer care and a French flair for design, Caroline is the main photographer in the studio.
Originally from Brittany, France, her fluent English and love for the lovely people of Northern Ireland have led to her becoming one of the most sought after portrait photographers in the country.
Her photographic career began by assisting Dylan at weddings - today she photographs almost 300 families a year in the studio in her unique, elegant black and white style.

PhotographerCounty Antrim native, Dylan’s professional career in photography began twenty years ago when he was invited to show his photographs at exhibitions in New York and France.
Struck by the beautiful black and white images of children playing in the streets of Belfast taken by legendary American photographer Mary Ellen Mark and displayed alongside his own photographs, Dylan took the photojournalistic approach into his weddings.
Since 2004 he has photographed over 500 weddings all over Ireland and further afield in locations such as London, Barcelona, Prague and France.
His love of photography and people led to him becoming one of the most sought after wedding photographers in Ireland.
He now enjoys working in the studio alongside Caroline helping create beautiful portraits.

Irina is originally from Belgrade, Serbia. She has more than 10 years of experience helping clients. She continues that journey every day by scheduling Portrait Sessions for the Studio. Her two hobbies include photography and traveling. When not capturing the beauty of the world or exploring new destinations, you’ll find her caring for animals. Over the years, she has rescued over 10 cats, including her three beloved street rescues. Animals hold a special place in her heart, and she is committed to giving them the love and care they deserve.
“I am a Mum to 2 kids of my own, Corrina 15 and Rubin 13. I have been married to my gorgeous hubby Dylan for 21 years. We work together every day and I wouldn't have it any other way. As a Mum I understand the ways to help you relax and have fun with your kids during your session. Raising 2 energetic kids of my own, I love photographing kids who aren't always that great at sitting still. I also love talking to kids and asking them questions to get them to open up to the camera. My passion is photographing families and children in a natural way. I love to be able to capture the personalities of your kids through my photographs. I believe that my ability to make a connection with your family means that I am able to capture images that are a true reflection of your kids and your family.”
